ROTA's work targets policy and legislation affecting Britain's BAME communities and the BAME and equality third sector. Since its inception in 1984, ROTA's focus has been policy development, representation, awareness raising and training. Its work is evidence based and informed by the experiences of BAME communities.

Newham Monitoring Project

Newham Monitoring Project (NMP) was formed 31 years ago out of local campaigns against the racist murder of teenager Akhtar Ali Baig in East Ham, after statutory agencies failed to respond adequately. NMP's founding aim was to monitor both racist attacks and statutory response to them in order to campaign effectively around the resultant issues for justice and change.

Mosaada Centre for Single Women

Mosaada Centre for Single Women is a self-help organization set up to provide activities for single and homeless women residing in hostels or temporary accommodation. Many of the women supported by this group are refugee or recently resettled. Others are migrants some with mental health problems or in personal crisis.

Communities Empowerment Network

The CEN is a national education charity that supports children, young people, parents, families, schools, groups, organisations and communities across the country. It is based in Brixton, so the majority of its work is in London with a strong connection to the local Lambeth community.
