vInspired Cashpoint

For 14-25 year olds who have an idea that will solve a problem in their community, offering grants of up to £500 to turn their ideas into reality, and get their projects off the ground. Once the funding's signed off young people are given the autonomy to run your project their way to.

Prince’s Trust

Provide practical and financial support to young people, helping them to develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling them to move into work, education or training. The Enterprise programme provides money and support to help young people start up in business.

Rockstar Youth

Rockstar Youth is a part of the Rockstar Group the UK’s largest entrepreneurial mentoring organisation. Rockstar Youth have produced a market leading programme for young entrepreneurs aged 18-30 yrs to support them through principle ideation to enterprise creation and furthermore accelerated growth and investment. Through the process young entrepreneurs get to build experience, confidence, a winning network and a sustainable business.

School for StartUps: Launcher

Launcher is a unique new business startup finance programme for entrepreneurs. They offer new business owners aged 18 and over access to world-class teaching, a supportive community and regular mentoring. School For Startups’ Launcher programme combines government-backed startup business finance from the Start-Up Loans Company, with a School For Startups one-day bootcamp, online community and mentoring at no cost.You must be a British citizen or legal resident of the UK, aged 18 and over and meet their additional eligibility critieria, to apply with your business plan.


Offer Start-Up Loans of over £500, in increments of £500. You'll receive free support to prepare your application and mentoring support once you start trading. You must be aged 18 and over, want to start a business in the UK, live and have a permanent address in the UK or legally entitled to live and work in the UK to apply for this loan. GLE would also like to know if this is this the only loan you’re currently applying for with a Start Up Loan provider.

Elevation Networks

Offers entrepreneurs living in the UK the chance to finance their business and get it up and running. To apply you need to be over the age of 18 and your business needs to be less than a year old.

Fredericks Foundation

Fredericks Foundation will consider you for a loan and business support if you can demonstrate that you have made a genuine application for funds to your bank or a mainstream lender – and that you have been turned down. Your business can be at any stage: you may require money to start-up; capital to expand your business; or funds to bridge a gap. Whether you are a sole trader, in a partnership or have a limited company you may be eligible for a loan. Start-Ups are offered up to £10,000 and established businesses (with a financial track record of at least 3 years) up to £20,000.

Smarta Enterprise    

Smarta Start Up Loans offer anyone who has been trading for less than 12 months the chance to access up to £10,000, mentoring and expansive support to turn a business idea into a success. You will receive a mentor who has years of experience in your industry and will be on hand to answer any questions you have. They’ll take a close look at your business and help you uncover the hidden potential you may never have seen. If you are a British citizen or legal resident of the UK and aged 18 and over, this funding is open to you.

Transmit Start Ups (Specialise in Creative Start-Up Loans)

Based in the North East England, their Start-Up Loans Programme aims to provide mentoring and financial support to entrepreneurs that would not normally be available via traditional banking relationships. Transmit Start-Up Loans are available to new business founders aged 18 or over in England and Scotland.

Virgin StartUp Loan offer funding and support to grow your business. You will receive Virgin mentoring, PR opportunities through the Virgin brand, access to exclusive networking events and a business advisor who will take you through the process of getting investment...

Start Up Direct

Start Up Direct provides funding, mentoring and support to businesses based in England. All loan recipients will haveaccess to 12 months worth of mentoring,workshops and networking events,a business helpline, one-to-one business coaching and discounts from their global partners.

East London Small Business Centre

Deliver impartial and practical business support services including; business planning workshops, training courses, one to one business advice (mentoring) and loans. Provide start up loans for new businesses and growth loans for existing small businesses based in London.

HBV Enterprise

HBV is a local provider of the government ‘Start Up Loans’. If you are based in Hackney, Islington, City of London or Tower Hamlets then you can apply for a loan up to £10,000 to get you started, or grow during your first year of trading. There are no longer age restrictions (under 31) on this loan.

Bright Ideas Trust
