Please VOTE for us …BTEG Opening Doors Network

The Black Training and Enterprise Group (BTEG) are proud to announce that the Opening Doors Network has been shortlisted for the RBS Inspiring Enterprise Grant funding.

Please support BTEG by clicking on the link below and voting for us.  Thanks!

BTEG are currently the lead organisation for the Opening Doors Network, an exciting pilot programme aimed at supporting disadvantaged young people (18-30 year olds) into self-employment.

Running in three London boroughs: Brent, Croydon and Haringey, the programme is delivered by our highly experienced partners; Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, ABi Associates and PJ’s Community Services.  Together we have supported over 60 young people onto a tailored workshop programme covering the practical skills required to set up and run a business.

Running alongside the workshops, are ‘business advice clinics’ offering one-to-one mentoring and support to produce a business plan and move towards successful start-up.  We already have a number of young people test-trading their ideas and products; moving closer to their dream of starting their own business.

The programme has provoked interest with people outside of these boroughs and therefore we have bid for RBS Inspiring Enterprise funding to widen the reach of the project into surrounding boroughs, whilst also sharpening the focus to target those hardest to reach.

RBS want you to be part of choosing which enterprise organisations you think should win funding from Inspiring Enterprise. To do this, they've included a public vote. From midday today they will open the voting. You can review the finalists and cast your vote for one organisation in each category.

BTEG would welcome your support in helping us to widen participation by voting for the Opening Doors programme via the link below:

Thank you.
