BTEG joins T2A (Transition to Adulthood Alliance)

BTEG is delighted to announce that it is joining the T2A alliance. Brought together under the auspices of the Barrow Cadbury Trust T2A is an alliance of range of voluntary and community sector organisations providing direct support services to or campaigning on issues affecting young offenders (18-24 year olds.) This group are over represented in the offender management system and make up more than 10% of the entire prison population.

BTEG will be the alliances lead member in the area of race equality and as part of our role we will be leading a major project next year reviewing the alliances work so far and its impact and implications for BAME young offenders and working with the alliance to plot a strategy that will effectively integrate race equality across all of the alliances work.
