Leading Charity Urges Parents to Help Schools Tackle Race Inequalities
A new publication released today by the Black Training and Enterprise Group (BTEG) reveals the extent to which parents can play a key role in helping schools tackle race inequalities.
The guide Race Equality and Schools: A guide for Parents and Carers has been produced to help parents and carers to understand the responsibility that schools have under the new Equality Act 2010 to address race equality and suggests what parents can do to support schools to raise educational attainment.

The overall aim of the programme is to:
- Help organisations to take advantage of localism and Big Society opportunities.
- Explore new partnerships and opportunities to collaborate with local organisations with a similar remit
- Understand and access resources from new funding streams to improve their sustainability.
- Enhance their leadership skills
This challenging programme will encourage you to explore and develop your leadership and management practice, through shared learning, reflection and facilitation.
