It is intended to help BAME groups to keep track of how the public authorities in their local area are eliminating unlawful discrimination and promoting equal opportunities - as they are legally obliged to do under the Equality Act 2010

Leading Charity Urges Parents to Help Schools Tackle Race Inequalities

A new publication released today by the Black Training and Enterprise Group (BTEG) reveals the extent to which parents can play a key role in helping schools tackle race inequalities.

The guide Race Equality and Schools: A guide for Parents and Carers has been produced to help parents and carers to understand the responsibility that schools have under the new Equality Act 2010 to address race equality and suggests what parents can do to support schools to raise educational attainment.
