The Black Training and Enterprise Group (BTEG) is a national networking organisation providing a voice to government for over 600 black and minority ethnic service providers. BTEG plays a unique role by seeking to influence policy development whilst providing organisational support for voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations so that they can play a greater role in decision making, delivering services and new product development. We deliver a range of services for black and minority ethnic (BME) groups and individuals and also work with other disadvantage groups that are often marginalised such as Gypsy and Traveller communities.
We have a successful track record of advising government departments and non departmental public bodies. We also participate in a range of governmental advisory groups at the national and regional levels including the Department for Work and Pensions Ethnic Minority Advisory Group, the Department for Communities and Local Government Third Sector Partnership Board, the national Learning and Skills Council’s Equality and Diversity Committee, and the Government Office for London’s BME Refugee and Faith Advisory Group.
