What is the Centre for Educational Success?

The Centre for Educational Success has been set up as part of the Black Training and Enterprise Group and aims to raise and improve the educational attainment of children and young people from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. We do this by:

• Developing partnerships with schools, local authorities, community education providers and national organisations
• Providing a voice for policy development
• Showing good practice to BME community education projects
• Carrying out research to inform local and national policies
• Involving parents/carers, children, young people, teachers and other stakeholders
• Holding national and regional events such as conferences and seminars to bring together stakeholders
• Advising government departments and national bodies on issues of policy
