Volunteering Opportunities at the Black Training & Enterprise Group (BTEG)

The Centre for Educational Success, a project of the Black Training & Enterprise Group (BTEG) is looking for two volunteers to provide administrative support to the project team. Experience of using Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc and organising events will be ideal.

Your Role

  1. Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Head of Education Policy and Communications Officer
  2. Help in planning, organising and servicing meetings and events
  3. Maintain and update the database of community education projects
  4. Work closely with other BTEG staff
  5. Undertake other duties assigned to you by the Head of Educational Policy
  6. Adhere to BTEG's policies and procedures, including equal opportunities and confidentiality

Centre for Educational Success - Becoming a Trustee for BTEG

The Black Training & Enterprise Group {BTEG} has established a Centre for Education Success (CES) to improve the educational attainment of children and young people from African, Caribbean, Pakistani and Bangladeshi backgrounds. Ultimately; the CES is seeking to influence policy makers and educational practitioners to improve education policy and performance.

As part of our commitment for ensuring community education projects are represented within the scope of the CES' work, BTEG is now looking for representatives working in community education projects or on extended school programmes to become a Trustee on its Management Committee.

Representation of community education projects is integral to developing the CES programme of activities where we aim to make a positive impact in raising education attainment levels.

This is an exciting time for BTEG. Joining our committed board of trustees will enable you to meet new people, learn new skills whilst helping to make a difference to improving education attainment between children and young people from African, Caribbean, Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities.
