Apprenticeships for Me - harnessing potential, promoting opportunity 


BTEG is happy to announce the launch an exciting new project, Apprenticeships for Me. The government's aim is that by 2013 one in five young people will be in an apprenticeship. Research has shown that BME communities are under-represented in apprenticeships, making up just 6% of people starting the schemes. BTEG wants to make sure that young people from BME communities have the same chance as those from white communities to be part of the apprenticeship agenda, and we are working with young people, businesses, voluntary sector organisations and public sector bodies to achieve this.
