Apprenticeships for Me - harnessing potential, promoting opportunity

People from black and minority ethnic communities make up:

42% of the population of London but only 24% of London's apprentices
11% of the population of England but only 6% of England's apprentices

The Government is aiming for 1 in 5 young people to take up Apprenticeship.
Our aim is to ensure that young people from black and minority ethnic communities are part of this vision.

About Apprenticeships for Me

Apprenticeships for Me is a ground-breaking new project aimed at tackling inequality in London's Apprenticeships amongst BME young people between the ages of 14-25. The project aims to:

  1. Increase the take-up of Apprenticeships amongst BME young people through raising awareness within schools, further education colleges and specialist organisations
  2. Work across sectors in partnership with stakeholders in supporting employers and training providers in addressing the under-representation of BME young people in Apprenticeships within London
