About BTEG

The Black Training and Enterprise Group (BTEG) is a national organisation providing a voice to government for black and minority ethnic service providers. We have a successful track record of advising government departments and non departmental public bodies. We also provide technical assistance support for voluntary and community organisations and public bodies.

BTEG is a networking organisation supporting over 600 third sector organisations across the country. Organisations from all sectors can join our network by subscribing to our quarterly publication Race and Regeneration.

We participate in a range of governmental advisory groups at the national and regional levels. BTEG's research has influenced policy and practice in central government, Jobcentre Plus, Connexions and Learning and Skills Councils. We recently worked with the national LSC to develop BTEG's idea to develop establish a professional association for equality and diversity practitioners.

Our technical assistance support has strengthened hundreds of small BME organisations. British Gas continues to work with us to improve the number of BME trainees at their engineering academy. BTEG has been one of the main driving forces for Voice 4 Change England, the national partnership which has attracted £750k from the Office for the Third Sector and will provide a national voice for the BME sector.
